BattleHack is Coming to Raleigh

Raleigh, NC – BattleHack is coming to Raleigh on April 18th and 19th.

What is Battle Hack?

BattleHack brings developers from across the country to develop a solution to a local social problem. BattleHack started in 2013 and is organized by PayPal and Braintree, a PayPal company. Developers use any code base they want. No existing code is allowed and incorporating the PayPal API or the Braintree SDK is an important component of your hack and you may optionally use the One Touch™ platform but this is not required. Coding is from Noon on Saturday until Noon on Sunday.

You can hack solo, or in a team of a maximum of 4 members.

First place winners at the city level hack get our epic axe, flight and hotel accommodations to the World Finals in Silicon Valley, and a chance to $100K USD, no strings attached. Fear not, there’s a slew of other goodies, and of course local partner prizes, and all our BattleHack swag!

Previous Winner

One of the previous winners developed an app called Security Blanket, which helps to find missing children. This group is currently running a KickStarter campaign to take their idea further.

How to win $100,000 USD

Win a City BattleHack. Get flown, fed and cared for at our World Finals. Beat all other City Champions with code that impresses everyone on the planet. Be crowned the Ultimate Hackers For Good.

Register on the BattleHack Raleigh site.
