May 18 is a Busy Day for Tech in NC

Cary, NC – This coming Saturday, there is an BarCamp in Raleigh, NC and a ProductCamp in Morrisville, NC. Both events may still have space available so check out their websites.

BarCampRDU – Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM (EST) in Raleigh, NC. BarCampRDU is an “unconference” which means there is not a rigid schedule until everyone arrives and pitches the topics they would like to present. Topics are recorded on paper and posted where everyone can see and vote. The most popular topics/speakers are placed at the beginning of the day. Note: This year we may plan to gradually shorten the times allotted for talks as the day progresses. Migration into lightning talks will keep things interesting toward the end of the day.

ProductCampRTP 2013 UnConference – Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (EST) in Morrisville, NC. ProductCampRTP is a unique opportunity to share, network and learn with professionals involved in product management, marketing and development from around the Triangle. Unlike traditional conference formats, ProductCamp is an “unconference” where participants decide what is important and interesting.

If you go to either event, let us know what you learned.

Tech Relief in the Triangle

This is all Triangle Tech, so if you want to take a break from Tech in the Triangle this coming weekend, stop by the East Meets West Food Festival in Morrisville, NC, for a day filled with food, music, performance, and visual arts from many cultures that call the Heart of the Triangle home. (Sponsored by the Morrisville Innovation Foundation). If you go, look for Tech Tank Creative Director, Hal Goodtree, on his Fender J-Bass with the Fifth of Blues!
